fx8350 getting hot

fx8350, have fitted hyper 212 evo and idle is averagibg 51c , used mx5 paste and no differance, (single fan)
asus sabertooth 990fx
fx8350
xfx 7870
xfx pro 850
32gb corsair
samsung 840 pro
6 noctua fans in total

Try resetting the cpu cooler it is a really good cooler must be a installing problem

Reseat your heatsink, use third party software to check the temps and if they all differ then you have a sensor bug. Did you apply a lot of thermal paste? "less is more" in this case and adding too much causes temps to be high.

checked thoms for advice before and used as was recommended, reset 3 times with same result, 50c average, gpuz and speccy both about the same temp

ran kombuster and it didnt go above 61 on tessy sheres

You may have high idle temps because of the case air flow or cooling solution, your room temperature and climate can also determine the CPU temperature.

just downloaded coretemp, shows 51c. and its ffffing bloatware

i have 2 noctua 120 in front pushing air in, 1 on the roof pulling air out, 2 on the side blowing in and a 140 on the rear pulling air out, replaced the stock hyper fan with a noctua 120, , do i need more in or more out air ?

No everythings fine just reset the cooler and dissable amd cool n quite from bios

wow, dropped to 21c within 5 minutes, advise to others, disable amd cool and quiet, was looking at moving food from freezer !!!!!!!!!

I wud say nothing as getting another card wud not help much increase in performance per buck
As crossfire has many microshutterin issues
I wud say save it for a steamroler cpu

But thats my opinion


If u wanna upgrade get a identical 7870 for u

Ur current settup is good save the money if u have 1080p cpus


Steamroller is the upcoming amd line of cpus it would b probably spprted by ur mobo
