I have recently replaced a failing hard drive and because i was stupid and didnt create recovery disks i had to buy a new windows 7. I bought an OEM to save money and didnt see a problem because my old OS was an OEM. Now im having problems with fewer options such as auto-dim and other visual options being missing. The "extra" buttons on my keyboard are not working eg. the volume, wireless and also the track pad's scrolling ability.
I also cannot seem to find intel graphics mode.

I should mention it is a Samsung laptop, NP-RF710-S02UK. Also the "failing" hard drive still works and is easily replaced if need be.

Any help would be great.

I have learned over the years that the OEM will sometimes embed some of the drivers in other drivers. You need to install all of the Samsung drivers that are available on their site and check to see what changed after each install so that you know what you need to install and not install in the future. There is also a link for power saving and other things under the software tab on the same site you may also try some of those. Additionally you may be able to call tech support and ask them what specific driver you need to use for button operation but more than likely they will not know which driver. Beyond that I have no other recommendations for you to solve your button problem.

Thank you, I thought it would be something simple like that. I couldn't find them myself so the link was great. I'm guessing the auto-dim option, which isn't anywhere, is on the samsung website?

Ok, i have downloaded a few of the drivers that i thought would help but the extra features on the keyboard still do not work. I have managed to sort out the auto-dim nonsense but the keyboard is still a nuisance. any other ideas?
