So I have been playing the Arma 3 Beta, and I've noticed when I'm playing multiplayer that my GPU usage (Evga GTX 670 SC) in my OSD (Precision X) shows a load/usage of 65-85% (avg., about 75%) with card temps being around 55-60c. THIS is not usual!
Now, on other games (such as Battlefield 3, Guild Wars 2, Company of Heroes 2) usage/load is 99%, and temperatures increase as a result, to about 65-70c (fan settings are kept the same throughout all games).
So, I figured that my i5-3570k must be bottlenecking my card! I have my i5 oc'd to 4.1ghz. When looking at the loads of each individual core, I get random numbers.
Core #0 is at 75%, Core #1 is at 34%, Core #2 is at 45%, and Core #3
is at #13%
Now, my question is, is my CPU fully saturated? Shouldn't the loads be 100% on at least a few of the cores?
I want to make sure my CPU is bottlenecking my card, so I have a valid reason as to why my load won't go above 85%, when in other games its almost always at 99%. (Arma 3 is CPU intensive, I believe).
And obviously, overclocking my CPU higher would help increase the usage issue for my GPU?
