These Components Okay?

Hi, I'm new but I'm not new with computers and I'm hoping someone can help me here.

I'm building a new PC rig for a friends computer and I want to make sure the components are completely perfect & compatible with each other?

  • Seagate 1TB Barracuda 3.5" SATA-III Hard Drive - 7200RPM 64MB Cache

CiT Vantage Gaming Case Black HD Audio Black Interior 4 Fans Card Reader No PSU

Sapphire HD 7850 OC Edition 2GB Dual DVI HDMI DisplayPort PCI-E Graphics Card

    LiteOn IHOS104 4x BD-ROM SATA Blu-Ray Drive

    Kingston 8GB (2x4GB) DDR3 1600MHz HyperX Blu Memory Kit CL9 1.65V

    AMD FX-6300 3.5GHz Socket AM3+ 14MB

Asus M5A78L LE 760G Socket AM3+ 8 Channel Audio ATX Motherboard

Corsair 600W CX Builder Series 80 Plus Bronze PSU

The reason I am just making sure, is that I want someone else's opinion with the AMD FX series CPU's. Are they bad, good? Easy to setup? I saw that I MAY have to do a BIOS update but that's no problem.

I recently built another build for a friends CPU using an AMD FX CPU and all he is having is problem after problem. My concern is that I don't want to have another issue. I've built around seven PC's in the past, so the building process is not the issue.

He wanted a dirt cheap computer, but powerful for gaming, 3D rendering and other things. Every sways towards Intel CPU's at the moment but he primarily wanted it to be cheap.

I got him the AMD FX-6300 6-core as I've seen benchmark results on gaming and it comes up quite high, plus it tackles 3D rendering extremely well, too.

The one I have got is perfectly fine, what I am asking for is are these components fine? I've heard bad things about the AMD FX CPU's but then I've also heard really good things.

To be honest, I don't think you will be able to find better components than the ones I've selected for the correct price. I spent all day yesterday comparing prices with benchmarks and looking at what he primarily needs it for. This PC is perfect for what he wants.

Absolutely certain that they are all fine? I am certain too, but it is always nice to get someone else's opinion on the matter.

My budget is £500, max £550 and no more. Luckily, I found the AMD FX-6350 on offer for cheaper than the FX-6300 so I'm going with that one.

How are the FX machines, good? Will I need to do any fancy BIOS changes to get it to work or is it a simple plug 'n' play?

My friend was originally going to get the Alienware X51

The £699 one. I told him you could build a slightly better machine than that for a cheaper price too and 'hey-ho', I've managed to.

I have, thanks a lot! I was checking the benchmark tests for the FX CPU's and they seem to be pretty good.

I was a little weary of the FX CPU as my other friend who I built a computer for is just having problem after problem. I just don't want it to happen again with my other friend.
