I recently had a new desktop assembled. It's been about 5 months since i got it and my smps has stopped working and i've had it replaced with a new one 4 times since i bought it. Every time the led lights and fans are working but computer wont start. There is always a little fluid leak under the smps when i remove it. I'm not sure why this is happening but it's really frustrating to have this problem so often.
Mostly use my PC for basic video editing, graphic design and gaming. Do you see any problem with my config or is there something i can do to prevent this from happening? Has anyone had this problem with corsair VS650?

My config is:
Processor: Intel i7-3770k
Mobo: DZ77GA-70k
Ram: 2x2GB DDR3 G-Skill Trident
Graphics card: Sapphire HD 7850 2GB OC DDR5
SMPS: Corsair VS 650
OS: Windows 7 Ultimate

Corsair is known for solid power supplies so my first instinct would be to ask what socket you have it plugged into or what kind of extension lead you may be using? Is it always plugged into the same place? Or have you tried different places?

Thanks for replying so quickly Thermal IV. My PSU is connected to a Microtek 1000VA UPS via the cable that came with the Corsair VS650. The ups is connected to a wall socket which looks like one that has grounding. I rent an apartment so i'm not sure exactly about the electrical specifications of the apartment. Do you think the power supply in my apartment is causing this problem? There are only mild surges if any in the area that i live in. I live in new delhi india fyi. Also the local electricians are not very tech savvy as i found out and my computer technician does not seem to know much about diagnosing problems based on the power supply. So you see i'm in quite a quandary. Quality help is not available so I'm open to any suggestions in this situation.
One nagging doubt that i have is whether my PSU is powerful enough to support my hardware. Do you think getting a more powerful PSU will solve the problem. Also this is the only wall socket that i've used as it is the only one in my room which has any chance of being grounded.
Please help.

650W is more than enough for what you have, what kinda of humidity do you have there?

Just came across this they were talking about similar problems, check your ram is seated properly. If the PSU was totally dead then you would get no power whatsoever.

The RAM is seated properly. I tried removing and placing it the first three times the problem occurred. Since the PSU was within warranty i got it replaced three times already because of the recurring same problem. Every time PC works great for a few weeks and then same problem occurs. Right now my PSU is with the Service centre for the fourth time and they are taking some time to replace it. However it is probably not the RAM because otherwise it should not work even for some time right?

Delhi is quite dry most of the time. However the recent monsoons have raised the humidity a bit but not enough to create precipitation. it was quite hot albeit dry in may though.
