Motherboard's cpu pin scratched

Hey everyone,
I bought a asus z87 plus motherboard and the connectors in the cpu socket are scratched. I havent tried using it, because I'm afraid it is going to scratch my cpu,too. Will it still work or is it trash, what should I do?

Not sure where you got it, but would send for a RMA and include the picture, since new, no sense in taking a chance, if the pins aren't straight and make full contact, there may be no problems at all or could be possibly big problems

A clear picture would help here to determine the amount of damage.
