I've been reading a lot about this card, and for 1080p gaming they say it's an amazing card. I would like to make a build around it. I want a good, future-proof pc but that's also on the $900 range, maybe more, but would like to cut on luxuries and only go for the 100% necessary.

I also want the parts to be quality, as I'm not planning on upgrading in at least 2 or 3 more years after this. 900 is my immediate budget, but if it MUST be upped to about 1,200 because it will be significantly better and more complete I can wait. The 770 is overpriced currently anyways because of the high demand.

Thanks in advance.

I had an AMD chip years ago and it was ok, but aren't intel chips better? I don't care much for raw performance as much as I do build quality. AMD seems to be the opposite of that.

Well the whole AMD vs Intel is nothing but fanbase really. Like Chevy vs Ford. I've had nothing but good results with both. You just tend to get more bang for your buck with AMD.
