Hi. I'm in need of someone who understands hardware and is aware of what works in a PC and what doesn't. I want a 3D Rendering machine AND capable of gaming at high performances. My current choices for these goals are as follows:

MOBO:Asus SABERTOOTH Z87 Socket 1150

CPU:Intel Core i7-4770K 3.5 GHz Socket 1150 Box

GPU:Gigabyte GTX 770 OC 4GB DDR5 256 Bit WINDFORCE 3X

MEMORY:Corsair Vengeance 2x8GB DDR3 2133MHz CL10

PSU:Corsair Professional Series HX850 80 PLUS Gold 850W

HDD:Seagate Barracuda 1TB 7200RPM SATA3

SSD:Samsung 840 Basic Series 120GB

CASE:CoolerMaster HAF x nVidia Edition(This is debatable, still not sure if I want the nVidia one or just plain simple black + red)

I am really worried that I'll screw up and as a new user I'm asking you if you can help me.
Any advice as to why this is bad and that is good is welcomed!

Thank you in advance!

PS: I forgot to mention some questions about compatibility:

1) Can the ASUS Z87 support 2133mhz Frequencies? Read some forums that said that there are some issues and some may not be able to operate at that frequency.

2)Is the power supply sufficient enough to power the whole rig? In the future I may want to upgrade my stuff (hence the big case).

3)Is a CPU Cooler recommended? I've heard that the stock coolers can make a lot of noise and are not reliable.

If ya like the Sabertooth ....and it is certainly worthy of that attention :) .... you'll love the Maximus VI Formula. reviews are starting to drop so should be at newegg within a week

Good build, but i hate the case, go with something more modern and up to dat, with better cooling etc etc. Also may want to buy a decent cooler for that CPU such as below..

Do you think I will have any problems fitting the windforce GPU inside the case? I heard it's really long and I don't want to risk it. That's the reason I went with a case that big. If yes, then I think I'll go for it. It's also a lot less cheaper! :D

Thanks for the tip on the cooling. Will look into it.

1) The memory controller is integrated in the CPU, not a north-bridge on the motherboard.
- As such it is better to get Intel XMP 1600 MHz RAM with faster timings, maybe 1866MHz. Above 1866MHz the timings really drag out and it's not any better (and often worse).
- You'll be multiplier overclocking, not FSB overclocking with a 'K' series Intel processor.

2) The stock Intel heat-sink cooler and fan kicks ass & certainly isn't unreliable.
- It will operate well beyond the factory specs of the CPU; above 4250 MHz start looking for a better cooler, but you may get to 4500 MHz on air -with the Intel HSF- without issues. (Depends on the chip, each one is slightly unique).

Wow! Thanks guys! A lot of intel and just now discovering what a noob I am! Thank you very much for these tips!

Are there any visible differences between 2133 and 1866? Gaming-wise AND rendering-wise?
