DG45ID and E8200 3 Beeps wont post Memory Error

I bought a DG45ID mobo and a E8200 processor and I installed it. I have been trying to boot the computer to the bios but to no avail. I get 3 long(1 sec.) beeps and then the fans just run. I looked up the error and it says that it is a Memory error, I tested the memory in a different machine and it works. Does any body have any ideas?

P.S. Im new to this community so if I did something wrong with my posting please tell me!

  1. The memory controller on the motherboard is probably defective.
Test different memory in it to be certain. (It two known good pairs of DIMMs fail then it's the board).

Is there any way to reset the memory controller. Or should I look for a new board?

    Thanks
  3. if you have multiple memory sticks then remove them all and try one at a time.

change the cmos battery, it could be dead since its an old system and quite a few motherboards will not even start without charge in the battery

Thanks again but it still didn't work. I didn't know that, something to try when troubleshooting in the future. I contacted the seller but they don't open until Monday so ill keep looking at it.
