I'm going to buy this PSU but it doesn't have overvoltage protection. Its 200Ws over the recommended Watts i should use. Would it destroy my parts or is it safe to use.
PSU: http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16817151088
Hold On !! It Has Over Voltage protection!! read the Spec of that Psu on Seasonic official website here http://www.seasonicusa.com/NEW_X-series_KM3_650-750-850.htm
OHH FFS NEWEGG GET YOUR INFO RIGHT
==============================================================================
So much protection on the PSU and newegg doesn't even list one lol
LOL..yeah, It's happens sometimes
The PSU you showed me was actually a different version
The one i showed u was X-650 (SS-650KM Active PFC F3)
One on Seasonic is X-650 (SS-650KM3 Active PFC F3)
I need to find the X-650 (SS-650KM3 Active PFC F3) :\
I Think newegg just miss to input 3 number on Product Number,just like they did on that PSU features...X-Series is one of seasonic Flagship product,so it's impossible if it doesnt had that features
I decided to get the X-650 (SS-650KM Active PFC F3). Also, they are different PSUs.
The X-650 (SS-650KM Active PFC F3) does have OVP. Also has OPP, UVP, and SCP.
Found this at
http://www.seasonicusa.com/images/BrochureManuals/X_Manual.pdf
X-650 (SS-650KM3 Active PFC F3) has abit more stuff, but i can't find it anywhere so gotta go with X-650 (SS-650KM Active PFC F3).
Also, you click on "X-series 650/750/850". The PSU i listed was "X-series". Apparently there are more than one version of the X series.

Newegg doesn't have all the info, but the seasonic manufacturer site does
