So far I bought these:

1. Case: BitFenix Survivor ATX Mid Tower Case ($59.99 @ NCIX.CA)
2. Case Fan: BitFenix BFF-SCF-P12025KK-RP 51.3 CFM 120mm Fan ($0.00 @ NCIX.CA)
3. Bitfenix Recon Fan Controller ($32.40 @ NCIX.CA)
4. Power Supply: Corsair Enthusiast 950W 80 PLUS Bronze Certified ATX12V / EPS12V Power Supply ($99.99 @ Memory Express)
5. CPU Cooler: Zalman LQ-310 Liquid CPU Cooler ($29.99 @ Memory Express)
6. ASUS Maximus Formula/SE Green sound Card ($30.00 @ EBay.CA)
7. Video Card: PowerColor Radeon HD 7970 3GB Video Card ($319.99 @ NCIX.CA)
So far with 5% GST & shipping I spent $629.56. Memory Express is the best seller with their 25% matching price policy.

This is what I think I will complete the system with otherwise better suggestions:

CPU: Intel Core i7-4770K 3.5GHz Quad-Core Processor ($339.99 @ NCIX)
Motherboard: Asus Maximus VI Hero ATX LGA1150 Motherboard ($207.99 @ NCIX)
Memory: Patriot Viper 3 16GB (2 x 8GB) DDR3-1600 Memory ($100.47 @ Amazon Canada)
Storage: Samsung 840 Pro Series 128GB 2.5" Solid State Disk ($137.46 @ DirectCanada)
Storage: Western Digital Caviar Black 1TB 3.5" 7200RPM Internal Hard Drive ($84.99 @ Canada Computers)
Optical Drive: Asus BW-12B1ST/BLK/G/AS Blu-Ray/DVD/CD Writer ($67.50 @ Vuugo)
Operating System: Microsoft Windows 8 Professional (OEM) (64-bit) $0 owned
Total: $939.00

The number of the memory might be another one? (1600) I have no clue.

Any advice or opinion are always welcome.

Thanks guys for your time I really appreciate. To be honest with you guys the parts I bought were all bigs deals here in Canada this week but it cost 10-15% more in Canada plus 5%GST more than the US and in Québec the PST is another 9,975%. So I try to buy outside of Québec or in the US. With that said The PSU was 159,99 so when Memory Express sold them for 99,99 I grab one thinking it was a good deal.

What can happen if I use the 950W instead of your 600W PSU? What is the worst that can happen?
It's the same for the LQ-310 it was 74,99 and with matching price and rebate in mail it cost only 29,99.

Mayb I can sell them on EBay and get your H220 when the price is right.

I don't overclocked much and I don't know much about sli but I want to play great games on my HDTV I want a big machine...lol

What is the big difference between Asus Rampage Iv Gene and the Asus Maximus VI Hero mostly? I need Wi-Fi and Widi.

I will search for informations on your suggestions.

Thanks

Nothing really worse can happen, just a crap-lode of wasted watts. But it will come in very handy if you plan on adding multiple cards or heavy O/c + high end cards and other assorted glippity gloop. You don't necessarily sell what you are have, just save up, and upgrade to the H220 when you have enough money saved up! On the O/C'ing ad sli, the O/C can boost performance in most situations, whether it be great or miniscule. SLI usually doesn't improve performance for how much it costs, it would be cheaper to sell the one card you have and get a better gpu with the money combined. Any other questions, feel free to leave a response or give me a PM. Good Luck and happy gaming!

I'm sure you guys are experts but behind all the marketing they do I would prefer buying the 4th gen over the 3rd. Is the 5th gen on his way ?????
Does the I5-4XXX has the same heat problem????????

Nice card High-Resolution Value Leader

The Radeon HD 7970 started its life as a $550 flagship. Hammered all the way down to $340 over time, this powerful product is now our value pick for high-resolution gaming. It's easily able to handle 1920x1080, and is typically still playable at 2560x1440 and higher if you're using a three-screen Eyefinity setup.

Anyone has tips to share on how to install the Asus Maximus V Extreme more specifically all the accessories in the box?

So far I have put my 4 memory chips in it and I have put the wi-fi chip too.

Now I'm not sure if I install the Zalmam Q300 cooler I have or if I will buy this :

NZXT RC-RST40-01 120mm Sleeve Direct Touch 4 Heat Pipe CPU Cooler

What do you think?
