Hey,

Okay this question has been asked a thousand times before, but im lacking the brainpower to make a decision!

Im looking for a Gaming Mechanical keyboard which has to be backlight as i play into the night.

I love the look at the razer Ultimate but it has blue switches, the loudest i believe out of the different types of cherry MX's, and again as i play into the night i dont wish to keep anyone up because im owning some scrubs.

Is there a similar Keyboard with Red switches? i hear its the best for gaming, or someone correct me and show me the light! about the switches, maybe blacks best? or should blue not be so loud, i am the onyl one who's room is downstairs but still, im a bit worried about the noise.

Oh, im from UK so only UK websites/prices i aint into that shipping buisness.

Anyway cheers and please help!!

The Corsair Vengeance K70 is probably the best gaming keyboard on the market right now, and it has customizable backlight, as well as Cherry MX Reds. However, it is pricey.

One of the main things with getting a mechanical keyboard is finding the right switch type and the right design for comfort. A lot of mechanical keyboards offer pretty similar features and the feel of them is pretty much the same. The big difference is preference or perception. Once you understand the difference between the tactile and non-tactile and the different force required for each key press, then you can make an informed decision. However, it's mainly preference. I'm using an Azio Mech5, and I wouldn't trade it for any other keyboard in the world, unless it has the same feeling and design as my current once. That's just my preference. So instead of going for the best, go for the one you'll enjoy using the most.

Hold up just a second there. Don't rush into this decision just because the K70 is a sexy design. As kennai said you should decide which keyswitch you want. Read this guide: http://www.overclock.net/t/491752/mechanical-keyboard-guide
After you choose the keyswitch you want you should choose the sexiest brand in your personal preference. The K70 is getting Browns and Blues as options in the future, so if you're willing to wait you can choose your new-found love with a possibly better switch option.
