First time build how's it look?

Hi all, I plan on building a gaming computer in about a month or so and have tentatively settled on my "final" build but I would certainly appreciate any of suggestions from those of you who are more experienced than I am.

http://pcpartpicker.com/p/1nRrv

-I know most consider the HAF X or even a full tower overkill especially for a first time builder like myself but I enjoy the large space and the options it'll allow in the future.

-For the motherboard I wanted a simple reliable board that would allow me to upgrade in the future into two-way SLI. (Most likely i'll never go 3 way SLI simply because of the diminishing returns from adding a 3rd card) If anyone has any suggestions as to a better board I would certainly appreciate it.

-Regarding the 16g Ram and the velociraptor hard drive I will most likely change those to 8g of low profile ram and a 2tb 7200rpm hard drive for cost and realistic performance reasons.

-Finally, the Dell 1440p monitor is the main reason I chose to go with the 780 over say a 770, but due to financial reasons I may purchase it a few months or so after the rest of the build.

Please offer me your honest opinions to my build and whatever suggestions you may have to improve it even if it requires scrapping my own build I'll certainly consider it.

I changed the Monitor for you , you chosen the wrong monitor from DELL ...

the one you chosen gives only 16 m colors , I gave you the good one that gives 1 billion colors and is better in games.

changed the powersupply into another 1030 watts modular and gold as well at cheaper price ..

if you want to GO for REAL Monitor there is a 2560x1600 30 inch DELL ...

and a 2560x1600 42 inch NEC ...

tell me what you think

Thanks for the reply! That build does seem more refined than the one I had chosen. I do have a few questions however, my first is how does the Noctua cooler compare temperature wise to the H220? if they are comparable and the only difference is the amount of noise then I'd definitely take the Noctua for the price. My second question is in regards to the U2713H I had chosen the U2713HM because I had read that the 2713H was a monitor purely made for professionals hence the price increase, but perhaps I was wrong or someone else could clarify this.

nothing can compare to H220 lol it is the best in the market , but the Nuctua will give you 4.6G overclock. the H220 will run cooler and give you more space OC over 4.6 ,

the Dell U2713H is BETTER for bothe gaming and Professional use .. the U2713HM runs at 8ms , the U2713H runs at 6ms :)

read specs carefully :)

press on specs :

it is FAR superior .... better 6ms and 1 billion colors AND 100% Color Gamut !!! GET IT ! Dell U2713H <----- GET ITTT

This is good anl LOT cheaper monitor. http://www.amazon.com/QNIX-QX2710-LED-Evolution-2560x1440/dp/B00CI3EQA2/ref=pd_sim_sbs_pc_4
You can buy two for a price one Dell. Fancy that :)

SNA3 build is not anywhere price wise build.
WD black you do not need. Get WD blue or seagate barracuda. 20 cheaper. You can find 20 cheaper good cpu cooler too.
They do the same same job.

This is good 1000w psu. http://pcpartpicker.com/part/rosewill-power-supply-lightning1000

I think 750w is enough so. My build.

this is a one week old thread ... look elsewhere .. besides , that monitor gives 1 billion colors , when you find such monitor at your price talk.

Have you seen the dell ever with your own eyes? I have. This is as good as dell. Sure week old tread. But if OP did buy the parts you did suggest. Now he must rip his pants :D

as a matter of fact I never ued low end monitors .. my monitors are allways $1000 minimum ... does this help you ? I am used to 2560x1600 resolution for years ...

and you dont know anything about monitors , to suggest this one ... neither the colors and Gamut.

and this is not a game here to win . so go play your games elsewhere .

Still haven't bought the parts yet, I'm about 3 weeks away from making my final decision though. I'm continuing to appreciate and look at everyone's suggestions, thanks for reviving this old thread btw
