Is the hard disk working properly? Has it been tested in another system?

I'm confused. Did you remove the SSD and configure the hard disk as your primary boot device? Why would you install Windows 8 on the hard disk if you have a SSD?

i am selling the ssd to a friend becuase i don't want it and i need the money so i am trying to install windows to my hdd

Is the hard disk now configured as the boot device?

Is the Intel SATA controller in IDE, AHCI or RAID mode? Try IDE or RAID mode to see if it resolves the issue. If so, then install Windows, switch the controller to AHCI and try installing the OS again (no need to do it again if it works in RAID).
