A week or so ago my onboard graphics crapped out, so I bought a Radeon 7750 to put in it. I got the card today, plugged it into the PCIe slot, nothing but a black screen. Wtf is wrong here?

Did you try another monitor first. Your monitor may be the culprit.

It's a gateway dx4300-03

It's a pci-e x16 2.0

Tried both another monitor and the HDMI hookup, neither are working, tried the monitor and TV on my laptop, everything works fine.

Oddly, I plug the monitor into the VGA onboard and it goes completely black when I start up the rig, and stays so when I shut it off. When I unplug the VGA, it reverts to the "no signal" screen.

Have u tried the gfx on another rig? Seems PCI-E 3.0 gfx is compatible w/ this chipset of your rig.
