Seriously, the above which you have posted is a complete useless post. Not all motherboards support this memory type. Usually, servers and some workstation supports this. According to the specs "PC3-10600R", the memory which you have is a Registered ECC memory; "R" stands for Registered ECC. Usually, for normal Desktop it should be just PC3-10600 or PC3-10600U for dekstop memory and PC3-10600S for Laptop memory (SoDIMMS).

Usually, latest Dell PowerEdge servers, HP workstations, Dell Precision Workstations, HP ProLiant servers, SuperMicro Motherboards, Tyan Motherboards, Intel Server motherboards etc support this type of memory quite often but make sure you compare the model specs.

My bad. I went to a website where it said it was ddr3. Must have overlooked that.
