Dude really.....WOW you had to do something wrong, I mean a CM 212 EVO push/pull config @ 4.5 GHz @1.2v should not heat up to 79c, I do not own an 212 EVO but thought about buying one and slapping 2 SP120s on it But I bought a Phantek PH-TC14CS cooler instead, Long story short within about a week of owning it I decided to remove it and reinstall it, During install I over tighten the screws and snapped it, (IK I should of left it alone and not be a dummy and messed around with it, It was working fine $70 bucks in the drain
) So I tossed it out and running the Stock cooler for my FX-6300, even with my stock cooler im at 4.5GHz @1.4 volts and it runs warm at 48c to 55c Max and doesn't heat up to 79c....BTW you did remove the film sticker off the bottom plate of the heatsink right? And you did apply thermal paste too right?? My point is that it shouldn't be overheating like that with a 212 Evo!!!
