I use Z600 cooler which gave me 52c max after playing 4/5 hours AC3 (OCed to 4.2)

I'd like to know what it would be if I were to use hyper212 evo

thanks

Well I can share my experiences with the Hyper 212 Evo and an FX-6300 oc'ed to 4.5GHz. I'm using a push/pull fan configuration and the rear of the chasis has a 120mm NZXT fan.

Running OCCT nets me the following:

Yeah the Hyper 212 can't deal with this amount of heat. We're talking around 152W of heat there (as the FX is overclocked). This is with the Chasis side panel off. I have another HSF for it now but lets just say that recommending the Hyper 212 Evo, as though it were a golden solution for everyone, is unrealistic in my experience.

Dude really.....WOW you had to do something wrong, I mean a CM 212 EVO push/pull config @ 4.5 GHz @1.2v should not heat up to 79c, I do not own an 212 EVO but thought about buying one and slapping 2 SP120s on it But I bought a Phantek PH-TC14CS cooler instead, Long story short within about a week of owning it I decided to remove it and reinstall it, During install I over tighten the screws and snapped it, (IK I should of left it alone and not be a dummy and messed around with it, It was working fine $70 bucks in the drain :( ) So I tossed it out and running the Stock cooler for my FX-6300, even with my stock cooler im at 4.5GHz @1.4 volts and it runs warm at 48c to 55c Max and doesn't heat up to 79c....BTW you did remove the film sticker off the bottom plate of the heatsink right? And you did apply thermal paste too right?? My point is that it shouldn't be overheating like that with a 212 Evo!!!

Core Temp doesn't get the correct vCore:

The CPU cooler is properly installed. I just re-set it now and took the pic above. I'm waiting on a new cooler right now.
