I cannot explain why I only have this two optios, long story, anyway, please some help here.

My new pc, is only missing the motherboard, so I need some help to choose the best option.

My build:

CPU: Fx-8320
Ram: Corsair vengaense 8 gb 1600 herz.
CPU Cooler: Cooler master 212 plus
HDD: 1 Tb WD Blue, 1 Tb WD Black
PSU: 600 Watts, dont remenber which.
Extra: Fan controller, and 5-6 fans.

Second issue: is secure to overclock my ram to reach 1600 herz on one of this cards?

If you consider I should really try to get another board; M5A97 which was the first option in place, but... long story.

Solution
I just got the Asrock 990fx extreme 3 and am very happy. I algo got an 8320 processor and they both worked great right out of the box.

Asus, Arock, Gigabyte, MSI are good brands. It all boils down to specs.

The Asrock 990FX Extreme 3 has mediocre power phase design. Therefore you can't achieve stable overclocking with it. Moreso, Overclocking will be limited. you can't push it that far.

You should've gotten the Extreme 4 at the very least.

I got my processor OC to 4.3 and don't have any heat problems. Stable as can be.

Sure we can always push whatever machine we got to its limits. But the question is, how long will your rig hold that OC? here's some of the discussions I found:
