idk, but it is better, the mhz is better and it is ment for gaming, it also has a heatsink which absorbs the heat, whereas the ram u suggested didnt have anything

That's why I picked it, something with too large of a heat spreader won't fit under the CPU cooler... SO I think it isn't an option unless someone can clarify if it is low profile.

it would obviously fit underneath the cpu cooler, the coolers arent made to crush everything underneath it, and how big is ur cooler?!?!?

I don't know about video editing but for gaming RAM speed makes little difference.
