Hey guys, so I just want to overclock my ancient E6700 since it's bottlenecking my gpu. I know the risk of OC and i dont really care since E6700 is like $15 on ebay.
(E6700 is the best CPU supported by my old motherboard so I'll have to change MB+Cpu and I am saving up for PS4 so, oc's the only choice)

(I want to Manual Overclock since I can't get it up more than 15% or it crashes in AI Overclock. My goal is 3.2ghz~3.4ghz

Settings here is AI Overclocked to 15%
CPU: Intel Core 2 Duo E6700 65nm @2.66Ghz
Multiplier 10 i think (sometimes 6)
Bus speed 305 Mhz
Motherboard: Asus P5L-MX
BIOS: AMD 1103 (12/12/2007)
Memory:DDR2 4096 MBytes
Timings: DRAM Freq 229MhZ
FSB:DRAM: 4:3
GPU: Nvidia GeForce GTX 460

Case: Corsair 600 GT

Cooler: Cooler Master Hyper T4

thanks, if you need more info, tell me

Your CPU must be running 10x266 MHz, correct me if I'm wrong. It sometimes runs at 6 multiplier because of power saving. On a better mobo you should be able to get over 3,5 GHz probably but your has a limit to 1066MHz. You probably can get over it because you wrote you can get it to 3.2GHz. My advice is to set your multiplier to 10 and trying to get as much FSB as possible till you hit the wall. Just remember to not exceed 1.50 voltage.
