I use a Mac. I partitioned my ext hard-disk so i could transfer movies over 5gb to the HD. Now i want o transfer the movies from the HD to my PS3.. But the Mac format is not being read on the PS3.. how do i internally share the data on both formats on the HD

NTFS is the usual format, though Macs don't really like it.

Think it works OK though.

I can't remember - it's a long time since I used a Mac in anger. By memory they refused to write to NTFS-formatted drives, though I think they can now.

Just looked, and your PS3 only allows FAT32, which has a maximum file size of ~4GB. http://www.wikihow.com/Add-an-External-Hard-Drive-to-a-...

You're better off streaming it over your network.
