Motherboard swap over

Hi, I'm currently experiencing some low frame rates in BF3 and someone suggests it might be from my motherboard swap over. I exchanged my Asus Rampage 4 Extreme over for a Asus P9X79LE.

He said I might need to do a clean install but I wouldn't think so because they are the same X79 chipset. basically I just put it the new motherboard threw in the cd and off I went. So do i need to do a clean install or not ?

The chipset is the same but the other parts are not .. better clean Install. , why did you exchange for lower mobo ??!!!??

Asus australia = shit. ive sent the motherboard back twice both times returned unrepaired. i know they are gunna screw me around for another month or so, so i just bought a cheapy to get me through. by clean install can i just throw the disk in and go repair install ?

repair will take more time ...

The fastest is format /install/drivers/ready
