I'm experiencing Pc freezes and a sound loop (Brrrrrr sound) while playing CoD4 & Bf3.
It's quite frequent in Bf3, after about 40 minutes it freezes. It's a bit less common on CoD 4 but happens from time to time as well.
I have to hold down the power button to shut down the pc.
specs:
i7-860 @ stock (H57M01 board by Packard Bell, prebuild)
Asus DirectCU II 7850 @ stock (860MHz/1200MHz)
Seasonic M12II 620W
12gb Ram (2x4gb 2x2gb)
I've recently upgraded my PSU from an fsp 450w to this seasonic. the crashes already occurred before switching PSU's
Things I've already looked into:
My Cpu temperature stays under 65c at full load (while playing Bf3)
My Gpu temperature stays under 70c at auto fan, under 60c with fans manual at 50% (2050rpm). this all at full load
using manual as for some reason User define fan Speed won't stick, using asus GPU Tweak
I've already ran memtest86 for 9 hours with no errors
Looped Unigine Heaven 4.0 on ultra settings @ 1920x1080 for over 2 hours with no errors (longer than my bf3 gameplay)
I'm at loss at what is causing these crashes.
should I run Furmark to stress test even more, or might something else cause the crash? please help me out.
