my specs-

-Intel Pentium dual-core E5500 2.80 Ghz
-2 GB(1.86 usable) DDR2 RAM
-Windows Xp 32-bit operating system
-about 100GB of data free on my hard disk
-my inbuilt graphics card that i think is dead- Intel G41 Express Chipset
-450 watts Tech-Com SMPS
- ASUS P5QPL-AM Motherboard which has a PCI x16 Express slot.

is there any good DDR3 1GB graphics card for my computer? i just need a graphics card that can run AC 3 in medium or low settings or GTA IV or any game till 2012?

-Thanks

ur inbuilt GPU is not dead or ur display would not work at all
u will need to get a new PSU, that one stands the risk of blowing up and taking ur whole system down with it
what's ur budget?

i uninstalled the driver for my inbuilt graphics card......... and now it is not installing at all showing "you dont have administrator rights" while i am the administrator!! and the problem came like this once when i started up to play some new game i bought.. just after the intro of the game my computer turned off and restarted and then i tried other games and all of them again restarted! and this problem spread and then when i tried to watch movies the computer restarted! and then it restarted in every 30 minutes so i uninstalled the graphics driver... and everything was fine till a over heating problem happened......... but it was fine i cleaned some dirt and it was normal again....... but i realy want to play games now so i think i need to buy a new graphics card. and my budget is about is about $50 but i live in india so i am not sure...............

as long as u can see ur display the iGPU isn't 'dead'
if u can't install drivers Windows will install deafult ones
try getting into the System Admin account this way
go to Computer Management-->Local Users and Groups-->Administrator-->Double Click-->Uncheck disable this account, now log off and u should see a separate Administrator account, this is the hidden System Administrator account and has higher privileges than a standard Admin account
before reinstalling drivers make sure u wipe out all traces of previously installed drivers
about the new GPU, I'm in India too so u can tell me ur budget in Rupees
i recommend u buy something in the 5K range as anything below that would simply not be worth it

i see, been there, done that, anyway request ur dad to extend it a little and get the GT630 for 5k and a new PSU for 3k, this may sound too much but u really don't want a bad PSU blowing ur other parts

well my dad straight refused that and became irritated......... pls suggest something else and i am not a hard core gamer so i dont actually need a GT630........ my dad told me to be happy with whatever i have so persuading him isnt much help... he cant pay more 3K to buy a processor!!!!!!!! just clearly saying he refused to buy a new processor........ >:(  :(
