Hi, I'm planning to upgrade my video card. I have an old q8200 2.33 ghz core 2 quad processor, and I'm thinking if it will bottleneck the gtx 660. If so, any recommendations for a different card or should I just upgrade my processor too?

Solution
@ castanosaur: You can't just drop any CPU into the existing motherboard, it will only accept certain Intel (LGA775 type) processors, none of the CPUs' so far suggested will fit.
This list shows which processors WILL fit:
http://processormatch.intel.com/CompDB/SearchResult.aspx?Boardname=dp45sg
It's almost certain you'll have to search either Craiglist or E-bay to find one.
There's nothing wrong with an older CPU either:

Pay particular attention to the Q9550 results.
More detailed information on the current system is needed: Power supply, currently installed card and, importantly, monitor resolution.

3570k can be had for around that i believe, but youd need a new mobo and possibly Ram too, at the very least,

I don't think so... http://www.amazon.com/gp/aw/d/B007SZ0E1K/ref=mp_s_a_1_1?qid=1375623851&sr=8-1&pi=AC_SX110_SY190
Maybe an 8320 would be good http://www.amazon.com/gp/aw/d/B009O7YU56/ref=mp_s_a_1_1?qid=1375623931&sr=8-1&pi=AC_SX110_SY190

Basically to sum up what that post showed.
3570k destroys everything.

3570k Still poops on it though.
I just think OP should wait and save his monies and get at least a 3550.

We're just approaching this from different angles, mate.
Going the i5 route is by far the faster option, but, currently well out of the OPs' given budget, but he'll have to think of such a change in a year or two at most-parts for the 775 platform are getting scarce-and any system has a finite life, so it'll be a good idea if he starts to look at a full upgrade or new system fairly soon, even if it's just research.
As for the faster CPU: It'll help, but there's no getting away from the fact that this is an older rig and there's only so much more that can be squeezed out of it.
