Pushing it as far as I can go.

About a year ago I posted regarding my hefty OC on my Phenom II x6 1065t; stock at 2.9ghz (AMD turbo to 3.4ghz) and I had it at 4.102ghz @ 1.5125v

I've now got it at 4.262 @ 1.5 to 1.56 (it varies thanks to the mobo) @ 20-30*c in game. In the attached photo World of Tanks is running on Max settings [not pictured]

How high do you think I can push this? (vcore and speed?)

anything above 1.5v is dangerous and will cause hardware damage.

WoT is a VERY basic game programming wise. Using it benchmark or test temps of stability is really quite pointless. The chances of this system being actually stable under a Heaven or OCCT, or even Prime95 run is pretty slim. Have you every stress tested it?

I know WOT is light weight; it only uses one core, no crossfire etc. Was more an indication of single core temp than anything else.

I'm going to run more benches; but using blend test on prime 95 for 4 hours it was stable and temps never went above 60*C although the fans did ramp up fairly high 75%+ on the CPU and the GPUs hit 60%+ when the CPU fan was not spun up and the case heated up. I'll link my other thread for comparisons.

PS: Last time I looked into this a year ago, I was told and read after much review, that 1.5125v was the max for Phenom II. But to watch the temperatures more than anything else. That said, this OC never goes above 27*C at the given voltage. Under normal operation.

960T right? 4.2-4.4 for daily ..depends on the chip.tbh..you could re-lock it and it wouldn't give lower performance on that game.Pretty high Vcore for a Thuban.tbh..I wouldn't go over 1.47 for daily use.
