I just overclocked my CPU and set my ram to 1866. My Cpu is 3.78ghz @ 1.407volts. My VRAM gets hot, at max it hits 76c(yes, that's hot). Just remember that's my max and my VRAM will never hit that in a game. I tried to stay under 80c to be safe. My CPU never goes higher than 43c. Prime passed a 9+ hour test with flying colors:)  I think I did a good job for my 1st overclock.

Now what type of GPU can I pair with this, without getting a major bottleneck?

Windows 7 64bit, ultra Gladiator tower, Ultra OEM 700w power supply, MSI 970A-G46 MOBO, Phenom II x6(3.78), MSI Radeon 7770, G.Skill Sniper Series 8GB DDR3 1866, OLD 7200 1TB HD.

More about : overclock good gpu

Any Gpu would be fine, You wont suffer from any bottlenecking with a Heavily OC CPU, Infact cards usually like the extra room to perform!!

It really depends on what games your wanting to play? What would you want to be playing on??

Total war, Shogun, Europa, Saints row 4
I know my 7770 is holding me back in large Shogun battles because it lags sometimes. I don't think its the CPU.

Itll be the GPU although games like that like lots of RAM,
look around for a gpu benchmarks
like here, http://www.anandtech.com/bench/product/777?vs=857

thats just compared to the 7850

I have enough ram 8GB, should be good for a few more years. I'm looking for a Nvidia card, AMD drivers are unreliable.
Those are good frame-rates for a 7770, wish my card worked that good:)

I prefer Nvidia anyways,
670GTX is where i went, is a beast of a card, but the 760 isnt far away!!

Do you think my CPU can handle a 760?
