Data Recovery Question?

So I have an old HDD I'm trying to get some data off. I ended up doing the freezer trick and was able to get the drive mounted and opened up. Most of the directories are empty for some reason but it says 90GB is being used up? Any ideas how I could still get the data off, do you think data recovery software would work?

I was unable to mount the drive last night. It shows up in the boot menu, and when I boot my main HDD it showed up connected but will not open/mount I ran photorec and was only able to recover what I'm guessing was temporary internet files,thumbnails, etc.. I'm guessing it has to be mounted for it to work correctly?
