I'm in bit of a pickel... I tried to reformat my grans computer (reinstall XP) but because the bios screen doesn't show (showed at my gran on her monitor but display only came on after bios on my monitors) I tried installing from the desktop. 2 hours later it was still installing so i restarted. There is now still no bios menu showing and I've gathered the OS has been removed as the screen simply stays black. I want to try boot from the CD (I know... should have probably tried this first!) but now theres no bios screen to direct me.... The beep codes are normal (single short beep) but there is simply just a black screen. The monitor only once said 'no signal' but think it wasn't plugged in correctly.

Any ideas on how to either get the bios screen working or boot it blind will be greatly appreciated!!!

Solution
You can try resetting the Cmos on the motherboard, also you can try pressing f12, the 'delete' key, or f2 a bunch of times to see if the bios will show..
