To get straight to the point. I am looking for an upgrade for my Graphics card... but unsure where to go for it. It's an old graphics card and a lot of things are an upgrade but my main question is; AMD's new APU + A radeon GPU = better than GTX 760 with AMD's APU? I won't be purchasing an Intel CPU as I think they are too expensive but my price range for a MOBO and CPU is £150 so feel free to recommend anything. My GPU budget is £250.

APPROXIMATE PURCHASE DATE: This week (Starting tomorrow) BUDGET RANGE: £250

USAGE FROM MOST TO LEAST IMPORTANT: Gaming. I play loads of different games and I wouldn't mind recording all/most of my games. My most played at the moment are Borderlands 2, Path of Exile, Dark Souls.

CURRENT GPU AND POWER SUPPLY: NVIDIA 9500GT & iCute 650W

OTHER RELEVANT SYSTEM SPECS: Looking to Purchase a new CPU, MoBo, and I have 8gb hyperX 1600 memory ready for install.

PREFERRED WEBSITE(S) FOR PARTS: I guess Ebuyer.com and Scan.co.uk but I don't mind much. COUNTRY OF ORIGIN: United Kingdom

PARTS PREFERENCES: N/A

OVERCLOCKING: Yes (If ever needed) SLI OR CROSSFIRE: Maybe later down the line.

MONITOR RESOLUTION: For now it's 1280x1024 but will be upgrading it soon to most likely 1920x1080.

My thoughts and ideas on what I want -

CPU -
AMD A8 6600K Black Edition, 100W, FM2, 4MB cache, 4300MHZ

MoBo -
Asus F2A55 AMD A55 (Socket FM2) DDR3 ATX Motherboard

GPU -
MSI Overclocked Radeon HD 7950 AMD Graphics Card - 3GB

or
EVGA GeForce GTX 760 4GB Nvidia Graphics Card PCI-e 3.0

What are you currently running for a Motherboard and Processor?

Other than that, I'd take your budget and lump it together. 400 for a Cpu, Motherboard and video card isn't bad.

PCPartPicker part list / Price breakdown by merchant / Benchmarks

CPU: AMD FX-6350 3.9GHz 6-Core Processor (£98.99 @ Aria PC)
Motherboard: Asus M5A97 LE R2.0 ATX AM3+ Motherboard (£58.54 @ CCL Computers)
Video Card: Gigabyte GeForce GTX 760 2GB Video Card (£212.11 @ Scan.co.uk)
Total: £369.64
(Prices include shipping, taxes, and discounts when available.)

The video card is great, one of the higher clocked versions and better cooled ones. Motherboard will accept the next generation of AMD processors when they get release later this year, and the Cpu is a good gaming choice. Enough power to power the best single card video cards out right now.

Motherboard currently is -
GF8100VM-M5

Processor is currently AMD Athlon Dual Core 4050e 2.1GHz

Edit - Not sure why it matters, looking to upgrade both of these anyway.

Thankyou guys so much for the fast responses o-o; Will go with Swordkd's suggestions but replace the GPU with the EVGA ACX card seeing as it is just a tad cheaper. Seems pretty perfect :D.
