The performance between 2 760s and 1 Titan are about the same (in the end, it depends on driver support for SLIing 760s). Ultimately jinayhvora is right the gain from 2 way SLi to 3 way SLI isn't much stronger as if you were to SLI 2 stronger cards. I agreed with jinayhvora, SLIing 770s is a better option and that would outperform a Titan. But if you want to avoid the headaches SLI brings, a 780 or the Titan you mentioned would be viable choices.

Titan is a waste of money, its a 6GB 780. 2x 760 will be about as fast, but, its SLI, so a bit more heat, bit more power, bit more noise, and potentially microstutter. It's not really any better other than you saving cash, so if you want to save money, go with the 760's.

Since you are at 1440p I'd just get a 780, it already has the 3GB frame buffer, so you don't need to overspend like you'd have to with the 760's to get cards with more memory.

Twin 760s top the Titan in Tomb Raider, tie in Hitman, lose in Grid3, win in Bioshock Infinite, lose (by 1 fps) in Metro LL, and take 2 of the 3 3D Mark scores.

Some titles scale very well in 3 way SLI (i.e,. Crysis 2 - 65% from 2 to 3 cards) bit it can even be negative at low settings....but wo uses low settings w/ 3 GFX cards :)

I have never encountered microstutter on Nvidia cards in SLI .... but keep in mind, never SLI'd two cards costing < $200 each. Only issue I had to deal with is wa slistening to my son whine about not having a profile for cupla weeks for BF3 beta

Yes and probably will for a couple of years. If money if a concern, most of us commenting suggested SLIing 770s if they are cheaper then the Titan you are deciding on. For me, in the future I might get a second 770 instead of a newer card

Then go with the Titan. Where are you getting your prices from? Maybe I can help get the best performance for your price point.

Since you already purchased the Titan for 780, stick with it (Great price but a bit suspicious? Without the coupon it would have been 880ish, the Titan retails for 1000$ Why would a brand new card be sold for 120$ cheaper?) I don't want you get overly worried.

Seeing how the Titan is currently the strongest singlu gpu card on the market, 3-4 years. It depends on the speed of the graphical evolution in gaming
