There is a function key (Fn + fx) to switch the monitor output (internal, external, both)

Fn+Fx, I don't see Fx but I have F4 instead. It is what you mean?

There is a function key on your laptop keyboard next to the control key usually on the left side of the keyboard in between the control and windows key. You would need to press the function key and one of the fx keys to activate it.

Make sure that your video card on your laptop is set to output 16:9 resolution (ie. 1920x1080 or 1280x720)
