Hello, I'm going to upgrade my brothers hp computer, I've already upgraded the ram and CPU but, he wanted me to get a gpu that would work with this mother board instead of his GT 8800. But I couldn't undertand what type of ram should the gpu have? Ddr2, ddr3, gddr3? The model of the hp pc is a compaq cq53000

Solution
DDR2 and DDR3 are system RAM generations.

We're at DDR3 now and any system using DDR2 is old by quite a bit.

DDR4 is coming "soon". GDDR is the memory built into the GPU.

GDDR5 would be just fine. However you don't have to worry about this

I think, as long as it's a modern GPU. Something like a GTX 650 Ti Boost

would probably do him quite well. It's relatively cheap, scales well in SLI

and just pretty awesome.
