Ok, i am new here and i am not even completely sure of my question. I just bought a video card for an older computer to use a 3D rendering software.

Anyhow, can I somehow disable the on-board grahics so the CPU is not burdened with rendering grahics that are not even used (not plugged into the onboard video card).

If you're running the output through the card, then you won't need to worry about disabling integrated graphics.
You'll need to install drivers for the card, though!

Yes, under device manager or in the Bios. The integrated graphics are automatically disabled when a dedicated GPU is installed
