turning off on-board graphics - necessary or even possible? Tags: Rendering Graphics Graphics Cards Last response: August 4, 2013 7:05 PM in Graphics & Displays Share zululu August 4, 2013 6:11:17 PM Ok, i am new here and i am not even completely sure of my question. I just bought a video card for an older computer to use a 3D rendering software. Anyhow, can I somehow disable the on-board grahics so the CPU is not burdened with rendering grahics that are not even used (not plugged into the onboard video card). thanks! You'll need to install drivers for the card, though! Reply to Maygentria Platinum Era a b U Graphics card August 4, 2013 6:18:14 PM Yes, under device manager or in the Bios. The integrated graphics are automatically disabled when a dedicated GPU is installed Reply to Platinum Era Can't find your answer ? Ask ! Get the answer Xzibit2313 August 4, 2013 7:05:19 PM ....
