Hello, I just recently bought a secondary monitor so I could read chat while live streaming. it's a ASUS VS197 18.5" Widescreen LED LCD Monitor. My computer has a Nvidia GT 430 and my main monitor, a 20" lcd, is using the DVI port and the secondary is using the VGA port. The problem is that the new secondary monitor won't display an image. Windows can detect it and so does nvidia control panel but still nothing will display. I even selected to extend the desktop over to it and nothing. I have installed the latest nvidia beta drivers as of today. I'm running windows 7 64bit. Could anyone help me figure this out?

Solution
Roll back to the 320.49 drivers and see if that fixes the problem, if you have a different VGA cable try it instead or try the VGA cable on your main monitor. If that doesn't work then I'm stumped, the monitor could be broken but it seems unlikely.`

My monitor doesn't have that button from what I can see. I'm not sure if it's a detection issue since wnidows does indeed recognize it and so does the nvidia control panel. The monitor does say no signal though. I'm using the VGA cable that came with it and I made sure everything was connected securely.

there is no way to change the input. The monitor is only VGA and only has one VGA port

The problem has nothing to do with your monitor and more so to do with the fact that your computer cannot be displaying DVI and VGA at the same time. If it were two VGA's or DVI's then you could do it no problem.
