Im deciding on building a gaming/video editing computer. I have created a list of parts to fit my $1300 - $1500 build budget, and would appreciate some expert advice/opinion.

Budget: $1300 (or $1500 if need be)

Case: RAIDMAX Raptor ATX-823BR ($74.99) or NZXT Phantom 410 Series Red ($99.99)
I am still not sure which of these two cases I should pick.

Storage:
HDD: Western Digital Red 3TB ($150.99) / (http://bit.ly/MopLGR)
SSD: Samsung 840 Series 120GB ($109.99) / (http://bit.ly/YMT0aT)

Optical Drive: ASUS DRW SATA 24X DVD Burner ($17.99)

Very very close to where i wuda went but you cab get significant improvements for ya $1500 budget:

Ok, Im spending $60 extra here but, I upped ya GFX by a wide margin and am making system suitable for SLI upgrade and taking you from a "budget" PSU to a top 1st tier PSU
Case - $260 - Corsair 500R Black http://www.newegg.com/Product/ComboDealDetails.aspx?ItemList=Combo.1390832
PSU - included - Corsair HX850

And Im spending another $7 to upgrade you to the MSI Z87 GD65
MoBo - $402 - MSI Z87 GD65 http://www.newegg.com/Product/ComboDealDetails.aspx?ItemList=Combo.1392841
CPU - Included - Intel Core i5-4670k

Again, I'm spending another $7 for faster memory...

Big upgrade here.....22% more performance for just $50

GFX - $260 - MSI Gaming N760 TF 2GD5/OC GeForce GTX 770 http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16814127745

Saved ya $16 on a faster HD and and spent $25 on faster SSD
HD - $135 Seaagte 7200.14 http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16822148844
SSD - $135 - Samsung 840 Pro 128GB http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16820147192

Gave ya opportunity to watch Blue Ray movies
DVD Writer - $56 - Asus Blue Ray Player / DVD Burner http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16827135247

Total $1487

Things ya might consider.....

4770k has HT which would come in handy in the video editing .... that MoBo / CPU combo adds $100

CPU cooler would allow you to overclock

I appreciate the help very much Jack. I ended up swapping out the parts I selected for the parts you recommended, but instead of the Corsair 500R Black Case, I went with the NZX Phantom 410 Series Red (I prefer this case much more) and add the items to my cart. The total, with all your suggested parts and the NZXT case, totaled on Newegg (as of Today) $1,465.90. Which is $22 cheaper than your total. Again, thank you for your help Jack I greatly appreciate it.
