Retrieve data from 'no media' pendrive

Hello all...
I have a Transcend 8gb pendrive...it was working fine when suddenly while copying files to desktop it stopped workig...
Since then, each time i try to connect it, i hear the notification sound and thats it...
Its not even showing any icon in "my computers" or else where...
I need some way to access the data as it is extremely important...pls suggest some way out of it this problem..

Ok you can try one thing, plug the PD on WIN 7 system, and then uninstall all "USB Root Hub" under device manager. Restart PC. See if the PD can be detected. Else I am sorry to say the PD is dead.

When plugged it in my laptop (Windows 7) i got the notification sound...thats it..under device manager option, i shows "no media"..
Today i tried it in other syster (Windows XP) where it is at least showing an icon in My Computers...bu when i double click, it says "Please insert a disk into drive"..
I tried a recovery software...but it could not even detect it...in both the systems!
