Safe to overlock memory on asrock 970 extreme3? Does this board handles 1600 hrz?

Hi everybody!

So Im probably getting this motherboard.

But I am confuse, I saw that this board can handle 1600 but on oc, so should I do it?
I bought the corsair vengaense 8gb 1600 hrz with headroom or something like that.

Its safe? In some pages saids that the motherboard supports 1600 and on ther saids the same but 1600(oc)

So?

I ran some team ddr3 2000 @ 2133 1.73v on an AsRock extreme3.
short answer:yes.
