Hey guys I'm looking to buy a new mechanical keyboard since I spilt some soda on my razer black widow and now half the keys are sticky. I wasn't that big of a fan of the razer black widow, and I have a good idea what I am looking for I just can't seem to be able to find it yet.

I am looking for a mechanical keyboard with any switch besides blue, I don't really know the differences or which I prefer yet. The blue switches I find are very sensitive and start to feel different from one another or sound different plus it's a bit too noisy.

Aesthetically, I am looking for a regular sized simplistic mechanical keyboard with a blue back-light. This is what I can't seem to be able to find other than the CM quickfire but I don't like the small size of it.

Any suggestions guys ? Preferably stuff off Newegg, NCIX or canadacomputers

http://www.daskeyboard.com/product/model-s-professional/ Go down to section 2 to hear the difference between the keys. Basically, the Blue that you had has a clicky feel and sound when you press it. The Browns feel like the Blues without the high pitched noise, and the Reds rebound easily when you press them (but aren't good for regular daily typing, they feel mushy).
I like the Browns, and you may or may not.

The Das Keyboards are very professional looking, simplistic yet sexy keyboards that come in Red Blue or Brown switches.

http://www.wasdkeyboards.com/ Wasdkeyboards are customizable, simple, and come in any switch as well.
If at any time you have a switch that you don't like the sound of, you can buy O-ring sound dampeners and they'll decrease the sound.

Very cool thanks I'm probably looking to buy brown switches from my research so far.
What do you think of the Max Keyboard x8 vs the Ducky Shine ?

Browns <3
I have a Tesoro Durandal G1NL, which should be on the same page as the Nighthawk. It's a very great looking keyboard, solid build, feels great, sounds great, the backlighting is nice. I'd imagine the Nighthawk is similar in function. They're also releasing the Colada which has other color options to it.
Ducky Shine II I've heard is really nice and also built like a tank. Both the Shine II and the upcoming Shine III come with a plethora of backlighting options that'll blow your mind. The lighting customization is absurd. Reactive touch <3.
What it comes down to is personal preference. Both boards are well built and made my trusted companies. If you want more backlighting options, go with the Ducky. If you want a cooler looking keyboard (opinion) go with the Max keyboard.

Thanks a lot I've done quite a bit of research now and I am down to two things. My one question relating to your reply is why do you consider Max keyboard a trusted brand ? I am curious because so far that is one of the things that is making me lean towards the Shine II.

Honestly I am kinda set on my perfect keyboard already which is the ducky shine II (or III but I'm too impatient lol) with cherry browns and blue backlit keys. What's keeping me from buying this is, well, I can't seem to find this on a site I use that ships to Canada. They have the ducky zero shine with browns and blue led on newegg.com and I would have bought it for $130 in a heartbeat. But newegg.com won't ship to Canada and it's not on the Canadian site. In fact, there's absolutely no ducky at all on newegg.ca which really sucks :/

I consider them myself to be trusted. The company Tesoro/Maxkeyboard/Maybe they're one in the same? (http://www.tesorotec.com/) is a purely gaming-enthusiast company that makes other products for gamers like mice, mousepads, etc. Either way, they have great customer service -- I have already asked them a concerning question and I received an answer the next day -- and the products are really nice (I love my Durandal :<) They're just less well-known than the Ducky brand which a lot more people know about. Quack.
Here's a link to the Canadian NCIX site for maxkeyboard stuff http://www.ncix.ca/search/?categoryid=0&q=max+keyboard
