Is this a false CPUID HWMonitor cpu reading?

Is this a false reading? It says max 96c, for my cpu, yet, above at tmpin2 (which is my CPU also) it says 50c max.

Seeing this all of a sudden has me nervous, but, I had ran over 3 hours of prime95 with my current settings and topped out at 59c, but that was only a spike. I remained at 47 - 48c for most of the run.

Any idea if this is something I should worry about? My system doesn't seem to be running hot.

Thanks.

Yes that looks to be a CPU sensor bug. Dont worry when I use HWMonitor my TMPIN2 is 128 Degrees. IF you want to you can always use other third party software such as SpeedFan or Core Temp to see whether you CPU is hitting ridiculously high temperatures.

yeah I was trying to ask Pallab Das what utility he was using to get the little window on the right side of his screenshot. I've been doing thermal paste for the cpu & gpu and more or less was looking for a second opinion for CPUID & Speccy..

I'm not sure what it is off hand. I do know that "HWiNFO64" is highly suggested for use with FX CPU. You should check that one out. It's a little overwhelming at first, but there is a lot of information, and it's customizable.

yeah thanks chargeit I do have that one(HWin064) and Speccy and you're right about customization I have it set to warn me if the temps go ape and go into sleep mode if they do.
