Dropped frames while recording?

I have a GTX 760 and an i3 2125. I am recording at 1080p res on one monitor but have 2 active monitors. And I seem to always get dropped frames when recording. Any ideas?

it is normal to have fps drops while recording because the recorder produces about 30% CPU load, so basically, the CPU is not fully dedicated on the game. The most common application is FRAPS. while recording, you'll have atleast 15% frame drops.
