hey guys,

ive had this motherboard for a year or 2 now and had no problems with it.
i had 2x4gb Corsair Vengence 1600mhz sticks in it since ive built the rig.
i just bought 2 new 4gb sitcks from Ballistix which are also 1600mhz.

when i put either pair alone in the 2 sockets closest to the CPU, i have no problem and my pc starts as usual. but when i try and put all 4 of the sticks in it. by pc starts up, but im getting no video on my screens.

i also tried putting 1 pair in the following sockets: 1/3 or 2/4 and again nothing. this time my PC starts, no video and shuts itself down after 10 sec or so and starts again, without any video like above.

also, the red LED next to the MemOK! button is constantly on.

any help would be lovely smile.gif

rig setup:

CPU i7 2400k
Motherboard asus P8Z68-V
PSU Corsair TX650W
GPU 2x sapphire 7850 2gb

and the ram sticks mentions above:
2x4gb Corsair vengeance 1600mhz ddr3
2x4gb Ballistix sport 1600mhz ddr3

Solution
From the picture it seems that 2 pins are bent. You can try straightening them using a magnifying glass. A jewelry or watch repair shop might also help.

i tried clearing the CMOS and trying a single stick. the frist 2 slots were no problem but at the 3rd and 4th my pc gave me the same problem as my original post.

i looked at the CPU pins and this is what ive seen
