I've got a new hard drive about 2 months ago
Installed windows 7 on it (straight from boot)
result was I had 2 different windows 7 on the same pc, each on 1 hard drive
that went fine.. I was planning to move the files from the older to the newer but then I've decided to keep them both and only delete the partition that contains the older OS when I'm done with it
last night the newer OS went to sleep mode and didn't come back up when I clicked the mouse
when I hit the power button the computer turned on but nothing happened
so this morning I've decided to disconnect the older drive to see what will happen
the computer turned on and tried to load the OS from the new hard drive but failed
then I've reconnected the older drive and it went back to normal but now I'm afraid it'll happen again.. the older drive is probably in a bad shape

any ideas why it wont load the OS from the new drive?
are they somehow linked because both drives were connected when I installed it?

Solution
Perhaps the old drive has the SRP. You can fix that pretty easy by booting up with the new drive and in an optical drive set as first boot either an install disk or a system repair disk.
