I looked on the website for my motherboard, and it shows that the latest bios update includes secure boot. Not entirely sure what this is, or if it has any benefits to my system.

Gigabyte z77x-ud3h mobo, with intel i5 3350p quad core cpu. Running windows 8 pro.

To be honest I tend to only apply BIOS updates if it fixes an issue I'm having. Updates can sometimes mess up and then you wish you had just left your machine alone ;-)

It has dual bios, so I don't have to worry about that.
