Looking to Build a Server for Games like BF4 and the latest titles! Help needed

I am looking to build a server to host games for upcoming triple A titles like BF4 so that i can earn a little bit of Money. But i have many myths i have yet to resolve and i need your help.
I have no idea on what specs on hardware i should use and no idea what software i should use.
I heard linux is good but i am not sure and i have no idea what the requirements are for a good none laggy server.
I could not find any good guides or tutorials on the internet (google) that shows a step by step guide on what to do.
The first myth i have to clear is how much ram is enough for a server up to 32 -64 players?
Second myth is do i need a graphics card to host a server?
Third myth is what is a good motherboard for a server?
It would be very nice if you experts helped me out since i am pretty clueless when it comes to Server Computers.

its your upstream that is most important, most domestic internet the upstream is no where near as fast as the downstream is why i want you to do the speedtest.

you will not be able to run BF4 servers, people cant even run BF3 servers without being a hosting partner with EA because of the security needed for origin and the server software.

but first thing what is your internet connection and what speeds do you get?

BAD idea. Not only is the power supply not good enough for continuous server use, but the CPU isn't even compatible with the motherboard as it's LGA 1150, the motherboard being 1155. Also, the hard drive might not be the best for server use either.

Internet Speed is 100mb/s and connection is wired. Maybe not Battlefield games but i thought you could apply for it somehow. Maybe i might host a few minecraft servers or CS:GO servers.

is that your actual internet speed if you use www.speedtest.net that could be your ethernet speed you are reading.

also is your internet connection a home service? and do you have a static ip address?

yes things like minecraft and cs:go could be hostable, if you do host minecraft servers you will want to get as much ram as possible but lets just check what your net actually is first unless you deffinetly know its 100Mb both ways.

I do have a static Ip but i am on holiday right now so i can't run the speed test.
But i still don't know what hardware to use so can you clear that up with me?

Why would you put windows 7 ultimate on a server? There are plenty of used servers out there on auction sites that will more than do what you need for a fraction of a new build cost (even though you'll never be hosting a BF4 server, as that's not a possibility) The entire point of a server is to be fast. Running a heavy GUI based OS on a server is kind of silly. Running a CLI based OS frees up many resources that a GUI would otherwise hog (RAM/CPU/DISK SPACE) Server memory isn't the cheapest stuff around, so I'd sure want to get the most out of it I could, just as well a server would usually be using 15k rpm disks, which.. aren't cheap either. Linux distros take up so much less space than windows... Again you're getting more for your money. Oh yeah many linux distros are free.
