This year my older and most treasured external hard drive gets to 7 years with me, I will save my documents this week when my new build arrives. But will my hard drive would be able to live longer? Maybe I should stop putting important data there, should I? Is working fine and everything but it has been under heavy duty and a lot of work, maybe some day I would try to turn it on and die or eventually? Is the older version of the WD My Book 1TB How can a check his health? Thanks in advance for the silly question.... You should always have multiple copies of important files anyways. Share lonewolf7 a c 297 G Storage August 5, 2013 11:08:09 AM http://support.wdc.com/product/download.asp?groupid=605... Yes it can live longer, or it will die the next morning no guarantee. So stop saving important data on it, but you can use it until it dies. m 0 l Can't find your answer ? Ask !
