okay so here is my problem I ran the Final Fantasy 14 benchmark and scored 10400 my friend ran the same benchmark and scored a little over 12,000 now the problem is my computer is better than his and overclocked. So this leads me to believe my pc is under preforming for some reason. Here are my specs:

Core i7 920 2.66ghz over clocked to 3.4
Evga gtx 580 classified ultra overclocked
8gb of xms3 1600 ram
Asus p6t deluxe motherboard

My friends pc is:
Core 2 duo 2.8ghz
Evga gtx 580 classified
8gb 1600 ram
Basic gaming motherboard

Both of us ran the benchmark test at maximum setting at 1920x1080. Again I scored 10400 he scored 12000. My comp is nice and stable, I have no idea whats wrongcan anyone help me?

Check your CPU/GPU/RAM usage. Run a memtest, prime95 and a gpu burn in test.

HDD speeds would contribute to this.
His might be faster while yours is slower.
Your drivers might not be correct either causing your drive to run slower than it can.

Check your drive specs for the SATA speed it can run at max. (I usually just look it up on the web with the model name and number of the drive if I do not know off hand.)

Then use CrystalDisk Info to see the stats on your drives
http://crystalmark.info/software/CrystalDiskInfo/index-...

Your MB supports SATA 3Gb/s
The Transfer Mode listing in CrystalDisk Info should read SATA/300 ( if your drive supports it AND your drivers are correct)

If it does not list as /300 but your HDD can support it, then goto your MB manufacturers website and DL the latest SATA drivers for your system.
