Deepbass headphones w/mic, mic not working

I had just bought a 10 dollar deepbass headphone set with a built-in mic, I plugged in the headphones, but it doesent work, any help?

You need a splitter for audio and mic, since your headset probably only has one cable.

Go down in your bar (right hand bottom corner) right click on the little "sound looking symbol" > click on "recording devices" and chek if the mic you have plugged in, is set as default... If so... the mic is probably broken! maybe invest some more money in a headphone? :)

I right clicked on the sound icon, and it said that the microphone isint plugged in. I plugged the headphones into the mic slot (Besides where the headphone slot should go in, or whatever) And the mic does turn on, but, i cant hear any sound.
