gtx 660 vs 760

looking for a card for gaming. i know the 760 is about 50 dollars more but is it worth it over the 660ti? or what would be a better option at the 250 price point. kinda want nvidia but if there's something significantly better on the amd side i may consider it

The GTX 660 Ti is going to cost anywhere from $25 less to exactly the same as the GTX 760. You would probably only get the GTX 660 Ti if it was a nice custom model and considerably less expensive.

For example, the Asus GTX 660 Ti DirectCU OC for $225 after rebate might be a consideration.

i would say the 760 is worth it, and is the best card at this price point, its abit better in terms of performence, but you also have to understand that its not all about performence, the 760 is one gen ahead, meaning it uses newer,better technology in terms of TDP, cuda cores( less microstutter), and in some other ways.

defeintly go for the 760.

ok cool. and would you say that id be ok with using this card for a while before needing to get an upgrade? im not really a graphics snob but at the same time i dont wanna buy somthing that ill need to be replacing six months down the road. id hope to get 2 years out of it or 1 and a half at least

How so? It's an OC 660 non TI so how is that newer and better?
