I currently have a very old HP slimeline (s3720y) that I plan on getting rid off. I would like to try my hand at building my own pc. The pc would be mainly used for web surfing/itunes/watching videos online and some light photo/video editing like photoshop elements.
I'd like to keep the case as small as possible (like the size of my slimline) if possible.
Im currently connected via RGB cable to my tv(vizio hd). My 2 hdmi ports are in use however i can get some kind of adapter to add an hdmi port if need for new pc
My current pc is very quiet,so i'd like to try to keep my new pc quiet also.
I dont have a set budget but im thinking between $500-$700 the lower the better.
The only parts i have would be keyboard/mouse/tv as monitor

If you have any build ideas I would love to check them out,and thanks in advance for any help/information you can provide

It was pretty hard trying to keep the price down on this one. I tried to put a 660 Ti in there but it was expensive.

Thanks guys for the suggestions. I do like the micro atx/slim case and would love to use that as a basis for my build. I definately would need some type of graphics, any suggestions on building off this case with an APU? or maybe using a motherboard that has built in graphics?

all Intel CPUs (except the ones with a P that is) have an Integrated GPU and the ones in the new Haswell are actually quite good for moderate gaming, it would not be worth it to replace an i5 with an APU for the iGPU when u don't gamr much
